Giorgio's Trattoria is new Italian restaurant concept in Stockholm by Urban Italian Group.
Our inspiration for Giorgio's restaurant brand identity was the atmosphere of an 1980s Italian trattoria which is warm, nostalgic, and full of character. We wanted the brand to feel as though it had been part of the neighborhood for decades while still offering a bold, contemporary edge.
To achieve this, I designed a customized typographic system that gives the identity a distinctive personality and reinforces the handcrafted nature of the restaurant. Bespoke neon signage was developed throughout the space to create a mysterious, cinematic ambience, drawing guests in and becoming a defining visual element of the experience.
The color palette combines deep burgundy and rich emerald green with vibrant terracotta reds and blues. This contrast creates a layered vintage aesthetic, balancing warmth with energy while reflecting the lively spirit of classic Italian dining. Every visual element was carefully considered to evoke nostalgia without feeling dated, resulting in a brand identity that feels timeless and instantly recognizable.
